A Bit of Shopping: Ulta

I went to Ulta on two separate occasions, the first was a week ago with a former student of mine to go makeup shopping since Ulta sent us a 20% off coupon for our entire purchase. I actually used mine to buy some skin serum for my mom to take with me when I go home this summer. She loves using the Olay Regenersist Micro-Sculpting Serum, please don't ask me if it works because I've never really tried it. All I know is that my mother does not look her age, she looks pretty younger than her actual age so it might be working for her.

I also bought my most recent favorite concealer which is the Tarte Amazonian Clay concealer stick. I'm running low on my first one so I decided to take advantage of to discount and purchase a backup.
On my second trip, this week. They were having a 40% off sale for all the Revlon products so I got myself some backups of one of my favorite foundations to use which is the Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation in Toast

(Ulta; 1 fl. oz. for $11.99)
I also purchased their new Nearly Naked Foundation also in Toast, I actually bought this before but returned it. Not because it was horrible but because it was actually darker than the Colorstay version, it just didn't match me for the winter time when I bought it. Now that summer is fast approaching and I am going to a very hot and tropical country, I thought It'd be perfect to use for my trip.

(Ulta; 1 fl. oz. for $9.99)
I also bought the Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation Creme to try. I first bought it in Caramel but boy was it dark when I tried it on yesterday so I exchanged it for a shade lighter which is in Rich Ginger, I'm crossing my fingers that this shade actually matches me.

(Ulta; 0.8 fl. oz. for $13.99)
They also had a new mascara that piqued my interest so I decided to get it to try. It's their Revlon PhotoReady 3D mascara in waterproof. I can only use waterproof mascaras since my lashes won't hold a curl and my eyes gets watery during the day, so unless I was to have crazy mascara smudges under my eyes I have to use waterproof mascaras.

(Ulta; 0.34 fl. oz. for $8.99)
NYX was also on sale so I decided  to try their new Incredible Waterproof Concealer stick (might be appropriate for my trip since I know I'm going to be sweating like crazy.) for $2.99, why not.
         (Ulta; 0.052 oz. for $4.99)
I wasn't really looking into buying this last product but I was surprised to find that my favorite top coat of all time Seche Vite was on sale! It wasn't on the online catalog or the poster in-store. Regularly priced at $9.95, they were selling it for $5.99 so I hoarded (no shame in that!).

         (Ulta; 0.14 ml. for $9.95)
All in all, I'm happy with my purchases. Most of the products that I've been buying recently is in preparation for my trip since I know that it'd be hard for me to find the right shade and also it's more expensive to buy it where I'm going.

  2. You have some nice products here. I love Seche Vite top coat too, and that is a lot of bottles. If I have that many, they'll probably last me forever.
