A Bit of Shopping: ULTA, Target, Sephora, and CCS (Collective Haul)

It has been a crazy busy month of May for me, hence the lack of post. Work has been a bit stressful combined with the stress of preparing for my trip and just daily life, I've just been too caught up to blog. In a week I'll be flying out and most of my beauty stuff has been shipped out together with my other things ahead of time so I wouldn't have to deal with overweight suitcases, I'm honestly bad at packing!
Since most of the stuff I bought earlier has been shipped out already, what's left in terms of my beauty arsenal are the ones I just use regularly and most of my makeup brushes. It's so odd to see my makeup area a bit bare. Like I said most of my things are already gone and the ones I have left here were running low so I went ahead and bought some stuff through out the month as I needed it.

My first purchase was at Sephora. I realized that using the Konjac sponge might be a little too much for my skin when I used it twice a day, it's still an awesome tool and I love to use it when I'm taking of my makeup. I felt that to use it in the morning when I shower might be too much for my skin since it does exfoliate like no other so I decided to look for a more gentle sponge since my skin isn't really that dirty when I take my morning shower. I found the cellulose sponge set at Sephora and was intrigued enough to purchase it. It comes in a pack of 3 and was cheap enough that if it didn't work out, I wouldn't feel too bad.
Since I was a beauty insider at Sephora, I earn points for every dollar purchase that I make. Since you can only choose so much from their 100 point perk selection and I was flying out anyways, I decided to use my my points and got 2 mini Benefit They're Real Mascara since I've always wanted to try it out and also a mini size of the Philosophy Purity cleanser that I love.

My second trip would be to ULTA since my Maybelline Lash Discovery was already drying up. This is my number one favorite mascara. When used alone, it just enhances and holds the curl of my eyelashes. It's not heavy so it doesn't weigh my just curled lashes, I also love this when I'm layering mascaras for the same reason. Since it's not heavy, I use it as my base mascara no matter what other mascara I put on top of it.
I also purchased the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Concealer in Honey, this has become my new favorite concealer since it brightens my dark circles without creasing as much as other concealers I've tried (not too mention, it's hella cheap!).
I was shopping at Target for household things when I saw the Rimmel Scandal Eyes waterproof kohl kajal pencil in Nude, I've heard a lot about it and how it's nice to use on the waterline to brighten up the look of your eyes.

My last beauty purchase was on Memorial Day, my dear husband wanted to go for a drive and we ended up at an Outlet Mall. I love Outlet Mall shopping and I especially love  going to the Cosmetic Company Stores (CCS) for some discounted high end makeup.

I was able to purchase to matte lipsticks from Lancome for such an amazing price since aside from already being discounted, I was able to score it at 50% off because of the Memorial Day Sale! I got  the Color Design Lipsticks in Red Haute and Posh Pink. They're so nice and comfortable to wear on the lips without being overly drying like most matte lipsticks.

That concludes my collective makeup haul. I don't think I'm going to be purchasing anymore beauty items since I'm flying out this Saturday, but if I do then I'll surely write a blog post about it! Maybe I'll be checking out some local brands once I arrive and get settled.
